Origin and claim

Dense, denser, Schiffer. That's roughly how Johannes Schiffer explained his claim to manufacture vacuum technology components. In 1991, he founded the company with this aim in mind. Prototypes and customised products, mainly made of stainless and special steel, were developed and implemented in uncompromising quality for customers with very special requirements. A success story.

Taking a successful concept a step further

The very same aspiration also inspired Dr Rudolf Hannot and Max Hannot, his son, who took over the company in 2018 and developed it further in a new dimension. Similar focus, new infrastructure, new machines, new competences. As the success and demand grew, so did the team at Schiffer. Processes were redefined, production became even leaner, and the portfolio now also includes small series in addition to one-off productions.
Plenty of innovation, but one thing has remained the same: the aspiration.

Securing the future

Max Hannot and his agile management team continue to drive their traditionally anchored quality demands. The markets of the future lie not only in the semiconductor industry, but also in the energy sector, e.g. hydrogen applications. Further skills, larger infrastructure and growth are on the agenda.
